RRU United Way Campaign is a Success!

Thank you RRU for your contributions to this year's United Way Campaign -- we are pleased to announce that we have reached our goal of $52,000!  What a tremendous demonstration of our caring for the children and families in our community.

More than 40 per cent of all of our employees made a pledge and many more made contribuitons through the campaign events and online auction. Forty employees gave at the Leadership level of $500 or more -- 11 of these were new this year. We truly are a giving community.

Congratulations to Will Meredith, the winner of our final Thank you for giving draw of the $300 Costco card.

We will have our final total in early January when the United Way Campaign winds up completely, so there is still time to give to the Custodial and Housekeeping Services Bottle Drive (drop off behind Nixon) that ends this Saturday or to submit a pledge form if you have been away or haven't had a chance to do so yet (drop off to Grant 130 up until Dec. 23).

Huge thanks are due to the more than 100 employees who helped out with the Campaign this year. Special thanks to Cindy Goodman and Cecelia David for their invaluable support above and beyond the call of duty in just about every aspect of the Campaign, Shelley Langille for her dedicated service as Leadership Chair, and to Jeannie Drew for her coordination of sponsorships and anything and everything that was asked of her...and didn't need to be because she beat us to it! It was a terrific team effort and the results will be shared by so many.
