Administrative Assistant - Office of Research Services
This is a new part-time, temporary position.
Reporting to the Director, you will provide administrative support to the Director, Office of Research Services, the Research Development Coordinators and the Ethical Review Coordinator. You will assist with various projects or major aspects of projects independently and with day to day administrative tasks in the Centre for Livelihoods and the Environment. You will also assist with the administration of internal grants, data base development and entry, and communications activities.
To be well suited for this role you will possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- Post secondary certificate or diploma in administration plus 2-3 years experience, or a combination or education and experience.
- Analytical and judgment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including proven oral and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft suite of software and Outlook (for email)
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Ability to prioritize with strong time management skills
This is a temporary, part-time position working 22.5 hours per week between
April 30, 2012 until July 31, 2012. The position has been evaluated at Grade 2 and the recruitment range is $36,640 to $45,800 per annum (pro-rated for part-time). Due to its limited term nature, this position is not eligible for enrolment in the University’s Benefit Plan, but you will be provided with 4% vacation pay.
