External Professional Development
We are pleased to confirm that as part of our focus on ensuring that our employees are well equipped to do the work we ask of them, for the balance of the current fiscal year and into the next we are able to support selected participation in external professional development activities such as conferences and workshops sponsored by professional associations and training organizations.
As part of our strategic talent management approach, we need to focus our limited resources where we’ll get the most return on this investment in our people. Since it is important that the Executive Team has a sound understanding of their portfolio, the skills of their staff complement, and the training needs to make us a high performing organization, requests will be evaluated by the Executive Team member. To request funding for an external professional development opportunity, please complete the “External/Departmental Pro-D Request” form below and submit it to the Executive Team member to whom you report.
Expenses related to these activities will be charged to the unit benefitting from the investment, understanding that this will create a deficit in the departmental professional learning account (61305). The request form below is not to be used for approved HR Funded Continuing Studies courses.
