Department: IT Services, Data and Applications AdministrationReference number: 17-047-T0148Closing date: Monday, May 8, 2017 - 17:30Employment status: OngoingFull or part time: Full-timeCompetition status: Screening Job description: Reporting to the Manager of IT-Services Data and Applications Administration, the Application Integration Specialist is responsible for providing ‘Expert’ (tier 3) configuration, monitoring, and support services, and adding value to the University’s on-premise and Cloud-based corporate enterprise applications.The Application Integration Specialist is also responsible for analysing business requirements, automating business processes, integrating data between systems, developing custom report solutions and performing all levels of Quality Assurance (QA) and testing. Qualifications: Must have a University degree or College diploma in a computer related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceSignificant (4+ years) experience as an Application Administrator, Integration Specialist and/or Programmer AnalystDemonstrated experience in supporting, integrating and testing of third-party systemsStrong understanding of enterprise-scale requirements analysis, business intelligence, modern data warehousing and report developmentExperience working with complex data structures and must be able to write advanced database SQL queriesFamiliarity with quality assurance techniques (unit, system, integration and performance testing)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation- Able to communicate complex and technical information to others in plain language: Familiarity with Unit4 Student Information System and/or Business World On! will be considered an assetKnowledge of IT service management, ITIL, project management, system development life cycle (SDLC) and agile development methodologies is preferred Application submission information: This is a regular full-time position working 37.5 hours per week on campus.
