Royal Roads University is seeking expressions of interest for Associate Faculty positions in the School of Environment and Sustainability, Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences. We are specifically looking for Associate Faculty interested in teaching the course ENSC 418 Environmental Hydrology and Remediation (April 30-May 20, 2018) in the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management Program. This course is taught on campus at Royal Roads University.

Please note - Associate Faculty are not employees; rather, they hold limited-term contracts to teach individual courses in our programs.

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management (BScEM) is a two-year, interdisciplinary program that combines three intensive three-week on-campus residencies with online learning at a distance. This blended delivery model allows students to complete their degree (years 3 and 4) while continuing to work. The program provides the skills, knowledge and tools to identify and assess the qualitative, scientific, and technical components of environmental issues.

  • A PhD in a related field (preferred)
  • Professional experience in a related field, with expertise that aligns with the focus of the course(s) to which you are applying
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate level
  • Experience working within an interdisciplinary outcomes-based curriculum
  • Experience teaching in web-based distance education programs
