Royal Roads University is seeking applications for Associate Faculty to teach in the School of Environment and Sustainability, Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences. We are specifically looking for Associate Faculty in the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science program. Associate Faculty are not employees; rather, they hold limited-term contracts to teach individual courses in our programs. Our programmes are delivered on-line, blended on-line with on campus residency, and face to face.

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BScES) is a one-year program that is delivered on campus. Students complete their 3rd and 4th academic years in the one-year period. The program provides the skills, knowledge and tools to identify and assess the qualitative, scientific, and technical components of environmental issues.

The ideal candidate for teaching at RRU is someone who is has experience as a scholar and a practitioner.

Requisite qualifications include:

  • A PhD in a related field is preferred
  • Professional experience in a related field is required with expertise that aligns with the focus of the course to which you are applying
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate level
  • Experience working within an interdisciplinary outcomes-based curriculum
