The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Royal Roads University (RRU) has teaching opportunities for Tourism and Hospitality instructors through a partnership project in Jinhua, Peoples Republic of China starting with the 2016 Academic Year. *RRU engages contract Associate Faculty for these part time contracts.

In 2010 RRU entered into a Specialized Higher Education Joint Project Agreement with the Jinhua College of Profession and Technology to offer a three year diploma majoring in Tourism and Hospitality Management.  This partnership project provides Chinese students with the opportunity to complete a Royal Roads University diploma over three years in Jinhua.  The qualification includes 63 credits of RRU curriculum of which 33 credits are to be delivered by instructors hired through RRU in the classroom in Jinhua.

The ideal candidate for teaching at RRU is someone who has experience as a scholar and a practitioner.  Qualifications include:

  • Professional experience working in this field related to course content

  • Expertise that aligns with the focus of one or more of our courses

  • Demonstrated teaching excellence with international students at the undergraduate level

  • Experience working within an interdisciplinary outcomes-based curriculum
