Job description: 

Reporting to and working with the Manager Student Recruitment, the Education Advisors primary responsibility is to ensure the coordinated implementation of the university’s integrated recruitment strategy.  This will involve planning, budgeting, participating, or presenting at information sessions, conferences, events, college recruitment, and any other student recruitment activities as required.    

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or related field experience) and a minimum 3 years directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience with personal sales, presentation skills, customer service, and event planning.
  • Sound knowledge of RRU, its philosophy and programs.
  • Experience as an RRU learner an asset, as is experience with a post-secondary recruitment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate a variety of multi-faceted events/shows/conferences, etc.
  •  Ability to respond to questions in one-on-one situations or from groups of individuals, clients, customers and/or the general public.
  • Ability to develop and present using multi-media platforms.
  • Ability to multi-task while on the road to ensure relationships and systems are maintained.
  • Proficient in use of PC and MAC (all Microsoft Office products).
  • Extensive overnight travel and heavy lifting is required in this position.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Evenings and weekends are a requirement of this position.

This is a regular full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.  The role is positioned within Grade 3 with a recruitment salary range starting at $44,516 per annum.  The University is also pleased to offer a comprehensive benefits package.
