Job description: 

Reporting to, and under general direction of the Manager, Admissions & Enrolment Services, the Enrolment Advisor’s primary responsibility is to ensure the coordinated implementation of the university’s prospect management strategy, while safeguarding the standards and ethics of Royal Roads University.

The Enrolment Advisors are often the first point of contact for prospective students and applicants and, in the process, foster and manage positive professional customer relationships built on trust. Enrolment Advisors focus on Customer Relationship Management principles to understand prospect needs and advise on admission qualifications and enrolment criteria, ensure timely expedition of information requested, and follow up with prospective learners from first contact through to admission. The Enrolment Advisor may also participate in various recruitment events, if required, and activities or projects related to planning, reporting, promotion and other enrolment initiatives.

Qualifications: 
  • Undergraduate degree in business or communications and three to five years of experience in a post-secondary environment (preferably in the areas of student/academic advising, recruitment, counseling or similar), or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (presentation skills are a benefit).
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, cooperative, and service-oriented relationships with internal and external clients (i.e., potential learners, applicants, current learners, alumni, associate faculty, fellow RRU staff, agencies, etc.), where diversity of situations and people are routinely encountered.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to easily adapt to new software and systems.
  • Ability to multi-task while remaining process-driven and outcomes oriented.
  • Ability to work independently or in a high-performance team with minimal supervision.
  • Be a disciplined self-starter, taking initiative where appropriate.

An ideal candidate would also possess:

  • Knowledge of the University, its programs, and the RRU learning experience.
  • Familiarity with database management software such as Agresso and Microsoft CRM.

This is a regular full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. The position has been evaluated at Grade 3 with a recruitment salary range that starts at $44,516 per annum. The University is also pleased to offer a comprehensive benefits package.
