Royal Roads University is located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. With a reputation for innovation, RRU is a leader in the delivery of blended learning programs, which combine intensive residency experiences with online course work. The MA in Conflict and Analysis Program, which was established in 1998, is a two-year, interdisciplinary graduate program that provides students with foundations to identify, analyze, and manage intra-group and multi-party conflict in a variety of organizational contexts, including domestic, intercultural, and international environments. We also offer a one-year graduate diploma option. The program admits between 30 and 40 new students each year. Typical CAM students are working professionals who have roles as managers, negotiators, facilitators, or consultants; the diversity of student backgrounds and richness of their life experience contributes to the learning environment. Our program is poised for growth in both the domestic and international markets, and we are seeking a candidate who has the passion to build on the CAM program’s past success, and help shape future program growth. Qualifications: As the successful applicant, you will be a scholar-practitioner, whose expertise is in the area of organizational conflict, and who has experience working with organizations in the Canadian context. As a Faculty member at RRU your workload will include teaching, research and service. You will have a teaching philosophy that is aligned with the values and practices of our university. You will have experience with a range of different academic administration functions and a demonstrated track record of successful collaboration with internal and external partners in the development and delivery of academic programs.To be considered, candidates will possess:A doctorate in conflict analysis and management or a related field in the social and applied sciencesDemonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate level (employing adult learning and applied learning principles) in the field conflict analysis and management, in both face-to-face and on-line environments with domestic and international studentsProfessional experience in working with organizational conflictProven track record in research with an emphasis on practical applicationAcademic administrative experienceExperience in curriculum design and development with an inter-disciplinary and outcomes-based curriculum Application submission information: In addition to a collegial learning community, RRU offers a comprehensive compensation package to core faculty, with a salary based on rank, qualifications and experience.
