Job description: 

Royal Roads University is seeking applications for an Instructor, for our International Youth Leadership Program. The successful candidate for this short term contract will play a key role in the implementation and delivery of an International Youth Leadership program. The program will be both classroom and activity based, however, the successful candidate will be responsible for the successful implementation of the classroom components only. Coursework will include Leadership methodologies and theory as well as effective cross-cultural communication strategies. This coursework will be specifically designed for training a group of Undergraduate students from China.

Qualifications: 

To be well suited to the role you will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Minimum of a Masters degree in a related field
  • Experience teaching students from either North East or South East Asia (specifically China).
  • Demonstrated experience in working with international undergraduate students
  • Strong understanding of Leadership Methodology including promotion of leadership growth, and a deep understanding of impact in both a local and global context
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation
  • Experience teaching English as a second language students an asset
