Job description: 

Reporting to the Manager, Contract Training and working within a collaborative team environment, the Learning and Development Advisor is responsible to support the implementation and administration of international/intercultural programs and services for our competitive, leading edge and high quality educational training programs.  The Learning and Development Advisor plays a lead role on the international contract delivery between faculty, contractors, students and internal and external RRU stakeholders.  The Advisor supports the overall international/intercultural contract training vision and contributions of the Professional and Continuing Studies unit by supporting the planning of training and providing personalized follow up with clients, students and faculty.

  • Degree in a relevant field  and at least 5-7 years of experience in the areas of client-centered service,  program development and administration; or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult education requirements, principles, methods and processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the analysis, design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of learning and development opportunities for adults
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including presentation skills, technical writing skills  and learning technology trends and issues
  • Culturally sensitive to various overseas markets and multilingual abilities are an asset
  • Ability to operate in an environment of deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Strong diplomatic skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally, and maintain a professional approach to working relationships and conflict resolution
  • Ability to work in a creative and driven, team-based, collaborative environment
  • Experience managing education or training contracts is required
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Advanced computer skills (including MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Social Media)

This is a regular full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. The role is positioned within Grade 4 with a recruitment salary range starting at $53,768 per annum. Royal Roads University is also pleased to offer a comprehensive benefits package.
