Department: Physical and Environmental ResourcesReference number: 17-031-C0072Closing date: Monday, March 20, 2017 - 17:00Employment status: TemporaryFull or part time: Full-timeCompetition status: Completed Job description: Reporting to the Supervisor, Plant Operations, you will be responsible for providing inter-occupational general maintenance at a senior trade’s level or equivalent as assigned, to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry, components, and infrastructure throughout all buildings and site services. The maintenance and repair will encompass duties such as maintaining, repairing and replacing components such as valves, seals, bearings, air filtration, controls and all other associated components to pumps, fans, air compressors, heating systems, sewage systems, kitchen/cafeteria equipment, fire, temperature and air flow devices. This position is intended to be able to complete work independently at a near trade level and to also provide support to other team resources as required and may be required to complete other maintenance items as assigned to meet operational needs.You will be responsible for quality work in a timely manner and ensuring that all duties are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with all statutory codes and regulations and any operational systems established by the department from time to time. This position will work within all code and safety requirements which at times will require they work closely under the direction of qualified team resources.
