In this role you will also attend to the general operational needs of the gym such as laundry and basic equipment maintenance and cleaning. Qualifications: To be well suited to the role you will possess the following required qualifications and competencies: Current basic First Aid CertificationA minimum of one year relevant experience (customer service or retail)Ability to work independently, without direct onsite supervisionA caring, welcoming attitude and a genuine interest in customer needsExcellent problem solving ability, as well as a high level of diplomacy, tact, and judgment necessary when dealing with difficult situationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and customer management techniquesAbility to process transactions at a point-of-sale terminal, give correct change and balance and close the till at end of shift; trustworthy and skilled in managing and accounting for a cash floatAbility to operate a computer with basic software (MS Word, Excel) and RRU’s point of sales systemFlexible and able to multi-task in an environment with multiple interruptionsA demonstrated commitment to teamworkMotivated, enthusiasm for fitness Application submission information: This is a casual on-call position with varying day and evening shifts and we cannot guarantee a set number of hours per week.
