Royal Roads University and Study Group have partnered in the establishment of the Royal Roads University International Study Centre (ISC).  Established in 2011, the ISC delivers a range of programs to international students focused on a combination of language preparatory and degree level studies. Study Group is recruiting within Royal Roads University (RRU) for an Academic Head to be seconded to the Study Group North America team based within the International Study Centre located on the Royal Roads University campus.

The Operations Manager is an essential member of the ISC team and the on-going success of its operations. This person is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the ISC on a day-to-day basis. This role reports to the Centre Director and works closely with the Head of English, the Admissions Manager and Student Success Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the position. Characteristics needed in this role include being detail-oriented, organized, able to maintain strict confidentiality, and able to provide great customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage internal systems and student database
  • Manage student records 
  • Provide support to Admissions Manager
  • Liaise with multiple university offices for day-to-day centre operations  
  • Support Centre Director in compliance and budget management
  • Support recruiting and on-boarding of ISC staff
  • Oversee and coordinate claims submissions, invoicing and payments 
  • Record, generate, and disperse reports for internal and external use
  • Other duties as assigned 

Experience / Qualifications required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 or more years of management experience in an office environment
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Customer focused
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Previous experience in Finance, HR, and/or project management 
  • Understanding of the NA University system and environment and of the demands that international students will face in undertaking undergraduate or graduate level study

Experience / Qualifications preferred

  • Masters degree 
  • 4 or more years of experience office management in a higher education setting
  • Previous experience in a pathway or intensive English program
  • Previous experience with accreditation and/or compliance
