Job description: 

Working across several research projects led by Dr. Ann Dale, you will be responsible for qualitative data interpretation and analysis from a five-year community climate action research project, co-authoring academic papers, participating in workshops, delivering conference presentations, and leading virtual on-line dialogues to communicate to the general publics.  This is a senior level position and you will be working with significant independence.  As a post-doctoral researcher you will have knowledge in sustainability and/or climate change adaptation and mitigation.

  • Completion of a recognized doctoral program with research in a related field
  • At least two years’ experience in a research environment, or experience with the public sector (e.g., municipality) or private sector conducting research and/or analysis in areas related to climate change adaptation and mitigation
  • Excellent writing skills
  • NVivo
  • Qualitative data analysis
  • Managing web forums
  • Developing and moderating web content
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Knowledge of basic statistics, the ability to develop data visualizations and experience with Adobe Suite programs would be an advantage

This is a full time, temporary position for 1 year starting in January 2018 with a salary of between $40,000 - $50,000, depending on experience.  The University is pleased to offer a percentage of salary in lieu of vacation.
