Job description: 

Reporting to the Manager, Contract Training, the Program Associate provides clerical, technical, and administrative functions in support of the Professional and Continuing Studies unit, its Director, instructors and students.  As part of a team, the Program Associate provides day-to-day administrative support to the programs in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.  The position has a strong orientation to projects and cross-functional teamwork, customer service, and the presentation of a positive, professional image for RoyalRoadsUniversity.

Qualifications: 
  • 3 – 5 years of administrative support experience
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong customer service focus when dealing with all internal and external clients (students, faculty, alumni, RRU staff, etc.)
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Advanced computer skills (in a PC environment using MS Office), and adaptable to using custom applications
  • Must possess a positive attitude and be comfortable working both independently and in a team-based environment while always maintaining a professional approach to working relationships and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervision, takes the initiative where and when appropriate, and works well under pressure
  • Intercultural competence and experience working in an international capacity is an asset
  • Fluency in another language an asset

This is a temporary full-time position working 37.5 hours per week for approximately 12 months.  The position has been evaluated at Grade 2 and the recruitment range starts at $39,590 per annum.  The University is pleased to offer a percentage in lieu of vacation. If you are currently enrolled in the RRU Benefits Plan, your coverage will remain unchanged.
