The goal of the Evaluative Study of Action Research (ESAR) is education and training of new researchers in research skills and contemporary ways to communicate outcomes to scholarly audiences, the wider public, and policy-makers. A Research Assistant (RA) (preferably a post-grad student) will play a key role in updating a directory of Action Research (AR) projects and short survey distribution, qualitative (QI) and quantitative (Qn) data analysis, interpretation and reporting.As the RA you will be expected to have a mix of background in QI and Qn methods, expertise in use of statistical packages and electronic spreadsheets, and a demonstrated interest in evaluation and action research (AR). Further, you should be able to demonstrate ability to work independently and show dedication to timely completion of tasks. Training will focus on your skills and strengths whilst allowing for the growth of new ones. Working in close collaboration with the team, you will learn about elements of AR that enhance outcomes and impact; how AR can be validated as a contributor to meaningful change; and the role and importance of AR in the wider community. The ESAR lead will provide feedback and support to you as the RA. You will gain considerable benefit and exposure from an international collaboration in leading-edge research with experienced research.
