Reporting to the Associate Registrar & Manager, Registration Services, the Student System Coordinator is the university’s expert on the student information  system, bridging the application of academic planning and procedures, student record management and enrolment reporting within the capabilities of Agresso Education. Working with minimal supervision, the Student System Coordinator liaises with IT Services and other key operational units to ensure that Agresso Education provides an effective and efficient record system to meet the specific needs of the many and varied academic programs and student progression pathways. The Student System Coordinator configures and tests the system, oversees data integrity, and creates, processes and submits data sets and enrolment reports for the Ministry of Advanced Education , the Research Universities’ Council of BC, and other agencies. The Student System Coordinator is a key resource providing expertise, recommendations and advice as needed. The Student System Coordinator supervises the Student System Administrator.


To be well suited to the role you will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • A graduate degree is preferred, especially with some background in quantitative analysis.  A comparable combination of an undergraduate and significant relevant work experience would be considered.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a records and registration capacity, preferably at the university level.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Agresso Education.
  • High level of technical competency and report writing skills.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and methodologies.
  • Experience with business process design, flowcharting and a student information system.
  • Thorough understanding of formal systems configuration, quality assurance, and new release testing procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with a broad range of users and technical staff often under considerable time pressures.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong understanding of security management principles and disaster recovery planning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Close attention to detail and ability to concentrate for extended periods.
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience with developing and delivering systems-related training.

This is a regular full-time position working 37.5 hours per week on campus. The position has been evaluated at Grade 4 with a recruitment range that starts at $53,768 per annum.  The University is pleased to offer a comprehensive benefit package.
