Job description: 

Reporting to the Manager, Learning Technologies, the STUDIO Liaison plays a vital role in the overall mandate of CTET, and is focused on facilitating adoption and skills capacity for educational technology, delivered to faculty through CTET STUDIO.  The role offers educational technology support, training and development, and collaborative problem-solving related to teaching with technology.  The STUDIO Liaison nurtures active relationships between faculty, CTET staff, IT Services, and other internal RRU stakeholders.  

  • Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the areas of client-centered service, leadership and organizational development, technology program development and administration; or equivalent combination of education & experience (a graduate degree in Adult Education or Leadership and Training is an asset with technical emphasis preferred);
  • Knowledge, understanding and a passion for curating an institutional focus on educational technology trends and issues;
  • Expertise and enthusiasm for utilization of social media and web communications;
  • Advanced computer skills including demonstrated experience using Moodle, Blackboard Collaborate, Wordpress, MS Office Suite, Social Media tools;
  • Familiarity with adult education principals, methods and processes, as the basis for designing appropriate workshops for faculty;
  • Ability to analyze data from evaluation tools, and incorporate data/information into the development of various programs and projects to advance effective service strategies;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including presentation skills, technical writing skills, and web and social media skills;
  • Ability to operate in an environment of multiple priorities and complex reporting relationships;
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally, and maintain a professional approach to conflict resolution;
  • Strong diplomatic skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment;
  • Ability to work in a creative, team-based, collaborative environment;
  • Demonstrated project and operational management skills.

This is a regular full-time position working 37.5 hours per week on campus. The position has been evaluated at Grade 4 with a recruitment range that starts at $53,768 per annum.  The university is pleased to offer a comprehensive benefits package.
