Job description: 

Reporting to the Manager of IT-Services Data and Applications Administration, the Systems Analyst is responsible for providing tier 3 configuration, monitoring, and support services, and adding value to the University’s on-premise and Cloud-based corporate enterprise applications. The specific set of applications supported by the role may vary between positions.

The Systems Analyst is also responsible for analyzing business requirements, automating business processes, integrating data between systems, developing custom solutions and performing all levels of Quality Assurance (QA) and testing.

Qualifications: 
  • Must have a University degree or College diploma in a computer related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Application Administrator, Integration Specialist and/or Programmer Analyst

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting, integrating and testing of third-party systems

  • Experience building functional specifications and coding to prepared specifications

  • Experience working with complex data structures and must be able to write database queries

  • Familiarity with quality assurance techniques (unit, system, integration and performance testing)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation - Able to communicate complex and technical information to others in plain language

  • Knowledge of IT service management, ITIL, project management, system development life cycle (SDLC) and agile development methodologies is preferred
